Brittain Back as Fuel Face Mallards

The Indy Fuel announced today that Josh Brittain has been released from his Professional Tryout Agreement by the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League. Also, the team has placed defenseman Dillon Fournier on the 21-day injured reserve list.

Brittain returns after appearing in five games for Rockford, posting one assist, two shots on goal, an even plus/minus rating and 13 minutes in penalties. The 6-5, 230 lb. Milton, Ontario native has over 100 games of AHL experience under his belt with Rockford, Hershey, Norfolk and Syracuse.

With Brittain's return the Fuel also moved defenseman Dillon Fournier to the 21-day injured reserve list. Fournier sustained an upper body injury November 13 against the Alaska Aces and has not played since.

Indy wraps up a stretch of seven-games-in-ten-days this afternoon on the road against the Quad City Mallards at 5:05 pm ET, with the Morellis Cleaners Pre-game Show starting at 4:50 pm on your home for Fuel Hockey, CBS Sports 1430 AM.
