Bridgeport Sound Tigers Release Five Players

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's 2001-02 Regular Season Champion and Eastern Conference Playoff Champion Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced the release of Center Jason Deskins, Right Wing B.J. Kilbourne, Goaltender Tyler MacKay, Defenseman Doug Schmidt and Left Wing Roger Trudeau.
The Sound Tigers finished their 2002 preseason schedule Sunday with a 3-3 tie versus the Philadelphia Phantoms at the Milford Ice Pavilion. They were 2-0-2 in preseason play.
The Sound Tigers will open the 2002-03 regular season when they visit the first-year Binghamton Senators this Friday, October 11th and host the Norfolk Admirals this Saturday, October 12th at 7:05 p.m. Both of this weekend's games will be broadcast on "The Zone" 1300 WAVZ-AM with Friday's game also airing on WSTC/WNLK 1400/1350 AM.
