
Pahlsson, York Assigned to Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks were assigned center Samuel Pahlsson and defenseman Jason York by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on Monday.
Pahlsson, a seventh-round pick by Colorado in 1996, had six goals and 14 assists with 26 penalty minutes in 80 games with Anaheim last season. A third-year pro, the 5-foot-11, 212-pound Ornskoldsvik, Sweden native has 10 goals and 19 assists with 46 penalty minutes in 156 NHL games with Anaheim and Boston.
York, a seventh-round pick by Detroit in 1990, had five goals and 20 assists with 60 penalty minutes in 74 games with Anaheim last season. A 12-year pro, the 6-foot-1, 208-pound Nepean, Ontario native has 35 goals and 152 assists with 473 penalty minutes in 567 NHL games with Anaheim, Detroit and Ottawa.
The Ducks, who open the season Saturday in Chicago against the Wolves, now have 25 players on their roster, including 21 players who have been assigned by Anaheim.
