ALBANY 3, WORCESTER 2

Former IceCat Joe Hulbig's goal with 2:43 to play in regulation lifted Albany (2-1-0) to a 3-2 victory over Worcester (1-3-1) in AHL preseason action on Sunday in Delmar, N.Y.

Eric Johansson and Jason Lehoux also scored for the River Rats, and Ray Giroux tallied two assists.

Trevor Baker scored both goals for the IceCats.

CLEVELAND 4, CINCINNATI 3 (OT)

Tavis Hansen scored on a power play with 1:21 remaining in overtime to give Cleveland (1-0-0) a 4-3 decision over Cincinnati (0-1-0) in Strongsville, Ohio.

Niko Dimitrakos and Pat Rismiller added a goal and an assist each for the Barons. Todd Reirden and Cory Pecker led the Mighty Ducks with a goal and an assist apiece.

PHILADELPHIA 3, BRIDGEPORT 3 (OT)

John Slaney picked up a goal and two assists to help Philadelphia (1-1-1) tie Bridgeport (2-0-2), 3-3, in Milford, Conn.

Matt Higgins (two goals) and Jeff Hamilton provided the Sound Tigers' offense, while Mike Lephart and Eric Betournay also scored for the Phantoms.

HERSHEY 4, WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON 1

Cail MacLean scored his second goal in as many nights and Philippe Sauve made 24 saves as the Hershey Bears (1-1-0) knocked off the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (1-2-1), 4-1, at Hersheypark Arena.

It was the final game scheduled for the 66-year-old arena. It will remain a practice facility for the Bears, who open the new Giant Center on Oct. 19.

Simon Tremblay, Pierre-Luc Emond and Mikhail Kuleshov all scored for Hershey. Sebastien Caron finished with 42 saves for the Pens.

The AHL's 67th regular season begins on Thursday night when Wilkes-Barre/Scranton hosts the St. John's Maple Leafs.
