
Crunch Assign Wingfield and Neilson To Elmira

Syracuse, NY (October 7, 2002) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have assigned left wing Brad Wingfield and defenseman Corey Neilson to Elmira (UHL).
Wingfield, 27, appeared in two preseason games with the Crunch this year, recording 1 assist and 13 penalty minutes. A native of Gibson, British Columbia, Wingfield signed his second AHL contract with Syracuse on September 13, 2002.
Neilson, 26, appeared in two preseason games with Syracuse this season, recording six penalty minutes. A native of Oromocto, New Brunswick, Neilson signed an AHL contract with Syracuse on August 17, 2002.
The Crunch's Express Mart Opening Night is Saturday, October 19 against the Binghamton Senators. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a mini Championship Banner. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling TicketMaster at (315) 472-0700.
