Trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Jacksonville's (8-5) offense woke up in a big way. Bride (2) started the inning with his first home run of the season off Charlotte (3-10) righty Jake Woodford (L, 0-1). Tristan Gray walked and two batters later, Victor Mesa Jr. (1) walloped his first Triple-A home run, tying the game at four.

Jacksonville's final tally came in the bottom of the sixth. Dane Myers led off with a base hit and went to third on a double from Mesa Jr. With runners on second and third, a passed ball allowed Myers to score the seventh run for the Jumbo Shrimp, giving them a three-run advantage.

The Knights offense was rolling early but sputtered late in the contest. Colson Montgomery (1) hit his first Triple-A home run with two outs as Charlotte trailed 7-5.

Danny Mendick (3) blasted a three-run home run, giving the Knights the early lead. Two batters later, Chuckie Robinson (2) rocked a solo home run to push the lead to 4-0.
