
Braymer Solid in Sens 7-4 Win over Trenton

Ben Braymer pitched seven solid innings and the Sens offense erupted for eight extra-base hits in their 7-4 win over the Trenton Thunder Thursday night at FNB Field. Braymer allowed just two hits in moving to 2-1. Drew Ward and Rhett Wiseman both homered for the Sens. Chuck Taylor and Tyler Goeddel both drove in two runs for the Senators. Aaron Barrett pitched a scoreless ninth for his sixth save. Harrisburg improves to 22-5 while Trenton falls to 15-9.
Turning Point
Trenton plated a run in the top of the fourth inning to trim the Senators lead to 3-2. Rhett Wiseman homered to give the Sens a 4-2 lead. With two outs and no one on base Bryan Mejia singled and Luis Garcia doubled him to third. That brought up Chuck Taylor and the game's turning point. Taylor tripled to drive in both runs, giving the Senators a 6-2 lead.
On Capitol Hill
Ben Braymer started and was outstanding. Braymer allowed only two hits, both home runs while walking two and striking out five. He retired the side in order four of his seven innings. He threw 90 pitches, 56 strikes in a solid bounce back start from his last outing in Hartford. Taylor Guilbeau worked the eighth inning and allowed two runs on a two-run home run by Kyle Holder. Aaron Barrett worked around a two-out walk to earn his sixth save on the season.
With the Gavel
Rhett Wiseman and Drew Ward both homered for the Senators. Wiseman's was his tenth on the season and he continues to lead the Eastern League. Rhett also doubled and singled and scored twice. Luis Garcia had two hits, a double and a triple. Harrisburg had a season-high eight extra base hits, three doubles, three triples and the two home runs. Chuck Taylor tripled in two runs to cap a three-run fourth inning. Tyler Goeddel also tripled and drove in runs in the game.
Filibusters
The home runs were the 29th and 30th for the Senators this season as they continue to lead the Eastern League in home runs.
The 22-5 record is the best record after 27 games in modern franchise history.
The Senators have won 30 of 36 games dating back to last season.
Harrisburg improves to 11-2 against Eastern Division opponents.
O'Koyea Dickson was added to the Senators roster Thursday.

The Senators and Trenton Thunder play game two of their four-game series Friday night at 7:00 p.m. The Sens send RH Wil Crowe to the hill opposed by RH Jose Mesa, Jr. for Trenton. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:50 p.m.
