Branden Troock Assigned to ECHL's Idaho Steelheads

CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, announced Friday forward Branden Troock has been reassigned to the team's ECHL affiliate, the Idaho Steelheads.

Troock, 21, has appeared in 20 games this season for Texas with three goals and seven assists. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound forward also competed in five ECHL games last season for the Steelheads and recorded two points (1-1=2).

The Edmonton, Alberta native was selected in the fifth round by Dallas (134th overall) in 2012. Troock has 25 points (9-16=25) in 70 games in his AHL career.

The Texas Stars host the first of two games against the San Diego Gulls tonight at 7:30 p.m. CST at Cedar Park Center.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars and currently in their seventh season at Cedar Park Center.
