Rangers Assign Jayson Megna to Hartford

NEW YORK - New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has assigned forward Jayson Megna to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Megna, 25, skated in five games with the Rangers after being recalled on Jan. 4, registering one goal and one assist for two points, along with two penalty minutes. He recorded his first goal and assist as a Ranger while making his debut with the Blueshirts on Jan. 5 vs. Dallas.

Prior to being recalled, Megna skated in 34 games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points, along with 12 penalty minutes. At the time of his recall, Megna led Hartford in shots on goal (110), ranked second in points, was tied for third in assists, and was tied for fourth in goals in 2015-16.
