Boyle Recalled To The Kings

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled forward Brian Boyle from the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Boyle, 24, has played in 14 games with the Kings this season, recording one point (a goal) and 12 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-7, 252-pounder from Hingham, Massachusetts, has also played in 13 games with the Monarchs this season and has 11 points (4-7=11) and 35 penalty minutes. Last season, Boyle finished second on the Monarchs squad with 62 points (31-31=62) and first in goal scoring with 31 tallies. He was also named to the AHL's All-Rookie team.

Originally selected by the Kings in the first-round (26th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Boyle has played in 22 career NHL games with the Kings and has six points (5-1=6) and 16 penalty minutes.
