Clinton LumberKings News Release
Clinton, IA - The Clinton LumberKings welcome Bowman, Pickney & Evans to Ashford University Field to start off the Fourth of July weekend. The group will play a free concert on July 3rd while the LumberKings take on the Peoria Chiefs in Peoria, IL.
In addition to the concert, the Clinton Area Rod Club will host a car show on Sixth Avenue North, just outside of Ashford University Field. Admission to both the concert and car show is free.
The car show will be from 5-7 PM, while the concert will run from 7-10 PM. Bowman, Pickney & Evans have been a standard in Clinton's entertainment for 36 years. While Pickney is the lone member of the group that still lives in Clinton, the trio performs 3-4 times a year in the area. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, but no food or drink will be allowed inside the park.
The LumberKings return home the next night after the concert and begin a four game homestand on the Fourth of July against the Burlington Bees. Festivities that night will include a Regalia Manufacturing Giveaway and a WQAD-TV fireworks spectacular after the game. First pitch against the Bees is scheduled for 6:30 CT.
