Booyah Come from Behind Again

Green Bay Rockers News Release

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. - In a game delayed twice, the Green Bay Booyah completed another comeback and defeated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders, 5-1, to sweep the homestand.

After the Dock Spiders drew first blood in the top half of the first inning by plating one, the Booyah tied it up in the second inning thanks to a Tristin Garcia (Alcorn State) single to right field that scored Nathan Blasick (West Virginia).

In a great at-bat, Blasick, who was down in the count 0-2, worked a bases loaded walk that scored Brendan Ryan (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) to break the tie. Green Bay then got the insurance they needed in the seventh. Blasick delivered a huge two-run ground-rule double to dead center field that scored Dayson Croes (Quincy) and Max Wagner (Clemson). After making it to third after a sacrifice groundout, Blasick scored on a groundball by Garcia to second with the infield in.

Connor Langreder (Northern Illinois) was lights out of the bullpen, pitching 4.1 innings, one hit, no runs and punching out eight of the 14 batters he faced.

With the win, the Booyah improve to .500 and continue to be the hottest team in the Great Lakes West, winning eight of their last ten games.

Fond du Lac and Green Bay will go at it again on Friday, as Green Bay starts a three-game road trip.
