Bombers Looking for Answers After 2-0 Loss In Toledo

Toledo, OH – The Dayton Bombers lost a 2-0 decision to the Toledo Storm in front of 3,790 at The Toledo Sports Arena Saturday night. The Bombers last road win was a 4-3 shootout victory over the Trenton Titans on November 12, 2004.

During the Bombers first powerplay opportunity of the night, Sam Paolini fed Scooter Smith who scored a shorthanded goal to give Toledo a 1-0 lead at 14:07 of the first period.

The Storm opened a 2-0 lead when Robert Snowball sent a pass across to Tomas Micka who beat MIKE AYERS with a shot high to the glove side at 12:15.

There was no scoring in the third period, and Storm goaltender Scott Fankhouser recorded his second shutout of the season. The Bombers outshot the Storm 25-23, but Dayton suffered their 10th straight loss on the road.
