
Blues Reassign Adam Cracknell

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned forward Adam Cracknell to the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. He is expected to join the team for tonight's game in Grand Rapids.
Cracknell, 25, made his NHL debut on Dec. 15, 2010 at Detroit. In doing so, he became the 54th player to play for the both the Rivermen and the St. Louis Blues in the same season since Peoria joined the AHL prior to the 2005-06 season.
He has made 27 appearances in Peoria this season tallying 13 points on four goals and nine assists including 41 penalty minutes. Last season, the 6'2, 216-pound forward dressed in 76 games for the Rivermen totaling 38 points on 17 goals and 21 assists. Cracknell has spent parts of five seasons in the AHL with Omaha, Quad City and Peoria accumulating 33 goals and 48 assists for 81 points including 119 penalty minutes.
The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native was originally drafted by the Calgary Flames in the ninth round, 279th overall, of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He was signed as a free agent by St. Louis on July 23, 2009.
