Jersey Shore BlueClaws News Release
LAKEWOOD, N.J. -- The Lakewood BlueClaws return home for two games on Saturday and Sunday. While it is the shortest home stand of the season for the BlueClaws, the weekend will not be lacking in action.
Saturday's 7:05 p.m. game against the Delmarva Shorebirds, the Class A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, will feature the third bobblehead giveaway of the season at FirstEnergy Park. The first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a commemorative Carlos Ruiz "Made the Phillies" bobblehead, courtesy of State Farm Insurance.
The action continues on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. as Red Sox legend Jim Rice visits FirstEnergy Park, thanks to Bob's Stores. Rice racked up more than 2,400 career hits and hit 382 home runs while spending his entire 16-year Big League career in a Red Sox uniform. He will be on hand to sign autographs and meet fans throughout the ballgame.
Following the game, the BlueClaws will be hosting their annual Christian Concert. This year's event will feature former American Idol contestant Brooke Barrettsmith. No extra ticket is needed, as game tickets will be valid for the post-game concert.
As with each Sunday, it will also be Kids Character Day, presented by Renewal by Anderson. A favorite cartoon character will be visiting FirstEnergy Park to entertain the young fans.
The BlueClaws will not be back at FirstEnergy Park until Monday July 7, when they open an eight-game series with the Augusta GreenJackets and Greenville Drive.
Tickets to every remaining BlueClaws game, including the pair this weekend, are still available online at BlueClaws.com, over the phone at (732) 901-7000 and in-person at the FirstEnergy Park ticket office.
