HAGERSTOWN, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (6-3) (40-38) put together seven runs to defeat the Delmarva Shorebirds (5-4) (43-35) on Friday night at Municipal Stadium.

Brad Meyers (4-2) pitched six and two thirds innings and picked up the win, his second in a row.

The Suns scored first in the third off of a balk on Luis Noel (7-3) to score Valerio Heredia.

Noel threw wildly through four and one third as he walked six on the night and hit a batter.

The Suns capitalized in the bottom of the fifth as Austin Kearns hit an RBI single to left to score Heredia.

Kearns went one for three with three walks, two runs, and a RBI in two games for his rehab visit to Hagerstown.

Cliff Flagello came into relief for Noel and was just as wild, as he walked Michael Burgess, Tim Pahuta and hit Stephen King. Hagerstown scored four in the inning to take a 6-1 lead.

Delmarva made it close with a five run seventh. Matt Angle hit a two RBI double to center to end Meyers night on the mound.

Edulin Abreu came on for relief and struggled to get batters out. Abreu let four Delmarva runs to score and the Shorebirds cut the lead to 7-6.

Abreu then shut down the Shorebirds through the next two innings to pick up his fifth save of the season.
