Augusta GreenJackets News Release

Hickory, NC - The Augusta GreenJackets (41-28, 6-2) start of a five game road series against the Hickory Crawdads (30-40, 3-5) Friday night was pushed back a day because of rain. The two teams will play a double-header on Saturday night to make up the postponed game.

Rain began to fall around 6:30 p.m. before a brief break around 6:50 p.m. However heavy rain again began to fall just at the time of first pitch and the field was ruled unplayable because of the amount of water on the field.

The rain delay lasted for one full hour with the game being called at 8:05 p.m.

The GreenJackets will send a pair of southpaws to the mound on Saturday for the double-header with Madison Bumgarner (7-2, 1.77) and Craig Clark (5-1, 4.36) to the mound. Hickory counters with right-hander's Rafael De Los Santos (2-6, 5.13) and Dustin Molleken (5-4, 6.39). First pitch is at 6:05 p.m.
