
BlueClaws Drop Fourth Straight, Falling 6-1 in Aberdeen on Friday

ABERDEEN, MD - Rehabbing Orioles pitcher DL Hall struck out six over four scoreless innings and Aberdeen got home runs from Cesar Prieto and John Rhodes as the IronBirds topped the BlueClaws 6-1 on Friday night at Leidos Field.
The IronBirds (14-5) have won the first four games of their series with the BlueClaws (6-13) and improved to 7-0 against the BlueClaws so far this season.
Hall struck out six over four scoreless innings for Aberdeen. Connor Gillispie (2-1) followed and gave up one run over five innings to earn the win.
Aberdeen opened the scoring in the second on Prieto's seventh home run of the season. Rhodes homered, his second of the season, two batters later to give Aberdeen a 2-0 lead. Rhodes added a SAC fly and an RBI single to drive in three of the six IronBirds runs.
BlueClaws starter Ben Brown (0-1) gave up three runs in five innings and took the loss. Carlos Francisco and Andrew Baker threw scoreless innings but JP Woodward was charged with three runs in the eighth inning.
Jersey Shore's run scored in the seventh on a fielder's choice groundout from DJ Stewart.
The teams continue their series on Saturday night at 6:05 pm. RHP Mick Abel is scheduled to start for Jersey Shore.
