
Blue Jays Sign Coke to Minor League Deal

The Toronto Blue Jays announced that they have signed LHP PHIL COKE to a minor league contract.
Coke, 32, began the 2015 season with the Chicago Cubs but was released on May 27 after being designated for assignment. The southpaw made 16 appearances out of the Cubs bullpen this year, posting a 6.30 ERA in 10 innings of work (14.0 IP, 9 SO). Coke has pitched in 399 Major League games since debuting with the Yankees in 2008. He is a career 22-27 with a 4.21 ERA in 408.1 career big league innings. He threw a career-best 108.2 innings in 2011 with Detroit, his second of five seasons with the Tigers.
