
Blue Jackets Reassign Forward Alexandre Texier to Monsters

CLEVELAND - The AHL's Cleveland Monsters announced Friday that the team's NHL affiliate, the Columbus Blue Jackets, reassigned forward Alexandre Texier to the Monsters from KalPa in Finland's Liiga. Originally selected by the Blue Jackets in the second round (45th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Texier, 19, posted 14-27-41 with 36 penalty minutes and a -11 rating in 55 appearances for KalPa this season.
A 6'0", 194 lb. left-handed native of Grenoble, France, Texier supplied 27-36-63 with 74 penalty minutes and a -6 rating in 108 Liiga appearances for KalPa spanning the past two seasons, helping the club claim the 2019 Spengler Cup Championship. In 2016-17, Texier contributed 10-9-19 with 69 penalty minutes and a -1 rating in 40 appearances for Grenoble in France's Ligue Magnus.
