Saskatoon Blades News Release

Now at 26-12-6-0 on the year, the Blades will prepare for Saturday's home game against the visiting Portland Winterhawks.
WHAT WENT DOWN
Dawson Davidson set up Gary Haden (16) with a beautiful backdoor feed to open the scoring in the first period. Calgary answered back through their captain Mark Kastelic (28) to even the score heading into the first intermission.
The Blades then took a two goal lead in the second thanks to goals from Kristian Roykas-Marthinsen (11) and Ryan Hughes (18). Hughes also had an assist on Roykas-Marthinsen's goal giving the newcomer two points in his first game as a Blade. Calgary cut into the lead as Egor Zamula (9) went to the net in the dying seconds and banked a pass off his skate in behind Nolan Maier.
Carson Focht (11) tipped a fluttering point shot in the final minute of the third period with the Calgary net empty to tie the game at 3-3. Then Mark Kastelic (29) ended the game with a power play marker 1:28 into overtime.
Nolan Maier was the busier netminder of the evening, stopping 35/39 shots while Jack McNaughton turned aside 21/24 shots to earn the win for the visitors.
