'Blades Place Berg on IR

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush, along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Brandon Coalter has been activated from the 7-Day injured reserve list, and forward Reggie Berg was placed on the 7-day IR. As per club policy the injury was not disclosed.

Berg, 28, was moved to the IR after suffering an injury in the Everblades opener vs. Las Vegas on October 28. The native of Anoka, Minnesota finished the game with three shots on goal and two penalty minutes. Last season Berg averaged 1.38 points per game and finished second on the team in scoring with 55 points (21 goals, 34 assists) in 40 games played. Berg was also a key contributor during the 2005 Kelly Cup Playoffs notching 13 points (7g, 6a) in 18 post-season games. Berg's 55 points was a personal high in his five seasons as an Everblade

Coalter returns to the Everblades line-up to begin his third season with the Everblades. The 27-year-old Newmarket, Ontario native skated in 48 regular season games with the Everblades last season notching 10 points (5g, 5a) and amassing 94 penalty minutes. In his two years with the Everblades, the former 5th round draft pick by the San Jose Sharks in 1998, has played in 106 total games, scoring eight goals and notching 17 assists, while racking up 276 penalty minutes.

The Everblades take on the Las Vegas Wranglers on Saturday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena! Everblades 2005-06 full season, half season, group tickets, and individual game tickets are on sale now!
