
Casey Bartzen Activated off IR

STOCKTON, Calif. * The Stockton Thunder has announced it has activated center Casey Bartzen off the seven-day injured reserve list, and has placed defenseman Tony Johnson on the seven-day injured reserve list with an ankle injury.
Bartzen, 26, will make his debut with Stockton tonight, after appearing in two games last season with the Victoria Salmon Kings (ECHL) in his professional debut. Bartzen spent the four seasons with University of British Columbia (CIS), appearing in 134 total games (17g-82a=99p). His 33 points (2g-31a=33p) in 2004-05 led the team in scoring and assists.
The Thunder, in search of their first win in Stockton history, will take on the Long Beach Ice Dogs tonight at Long Beach Arena, with the opening faceoff at 7pm. The game can be heard live on the internet (audio broadcast only) at www.stocktonthunder.com, courtesy of B2 Networks.
