
St. Jacques and Steber Assigned from Toronto

Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release
Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that center Chris St. Jacques and center Jan Steber have been assigned to the Ice Pilots from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. Also, defenseman Colin Peters was recalled after the game last night to the Houston Aeros of the AHL.
St. Jacques, who stands 5'8" and weighs 190 pounds, has played in four games for the Toronto Marlies this season picking up three assists and two penalty minutes. He played in 66 regular season games for the Ice Pilots last year scoring 18 goals, 29 assists for 47 points and picked up 74 penalty minutes and played in three playoff games picking up one assist and six penalty minutes.
St. Jacques also played in four games for St. John's last year in the AHL picking up two penalty minutes. He played fo! r Medicine Hat of the WHL from 1999-2004 playing in a total of 310 games scoring 152 goals, 216 assists for 368 points picking up 357 penalty minutes. He is 22 years old from Edmonton, Alberta and shoots right.
Steber, who stands 6'3" and weighs 202 pounds, played in 63 games last season for Halifax in the QMJHL scoring 17 goals, 17 assists for 34 points picking up 58 penalty minutes. He also played in 69 games for Halifax during the 2003-2004 season scoring 16 goals, 15 assists for 31 points picking up 45 penalty minutes.
Steber was selected in the 8th round and was the 252nd overall player taken in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He is 20 years old from Ostrava, Czech Republic and shoots right.
Peters has played in all three games for the Ice Pilots this season picking up two penalty minutes.
