
Blackhawks Recall Morin from Rockford

Rockford, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled forward Jeremy Morin from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Morin, 21, ranks third on the IceHogs with a career-high 49 points (27G, 22A) in 59 games this season. He is tied for fifth in the AHL in goals and shares 17th overall in points. Morin has registered 15 multiple-point games this season, including a season-high three points (2G, 1A) on March 9 at Oklahoma City.
The Auburn, N.Y., native has appeared in 12 career NHL games with the Blackhawks, posting three points (2G, 1A) in those contests. Morin made his NHL debut on Nov. 6, 2010 at Atlanta, recorded his first point (1A) on Nov. 30 vs. St. Louis and scored his first goal on Dec. 8 vs. Dallas. The 6-1, 192-pound forward has recorded 101 points (53G, 48A) in 150 career AHL games with Rockford.
Morin was originally selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the second round, 45th overall, of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and was acquired by Chicago from Atlanta on June 23, 2010. He will wear number 26 for the Blackhawks.
Next Home Game: Saturday, March 30 vs. Oklahoma City Barons at 7:05 p.m. The Hogs and Barons close out their regular season series at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Thus far, the Hogs hold a 2-1-0-0 record against the Edmonton Oilers affiliate. The first 1,500 fans to the contest will receive an IceHogs gym bag, courtesy of Peak Fitness.
