Blackhawks Assign Martin St. Pierre To Norfolk

CHICAGO, Illinois - Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have assigned forward Martin St. Pierre to the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL.

St. Pierre, 23, is a 5'9", 187 lb. center from Embrun, Ontario. In six games with the Blackhawks since being recalled on February 12, St. Pierre scored one goal and added two assists with four penalty minutes. He scored his first NHL goal on February 14 at Pittsburgh. On the season, St. Pierre has one goal and three assists with eight penalty minutes in 13 games for the Blackhawks.

St. Pierre ranks 3rd in the AHL scoring race with 73 points (20 goals and 53 assists) in 46 games played for Norfolk while posting a +10 rating and 69 penalty minutes. He has already tied his own Norfolk single-season franchise record for points with 73 and has already bested his own Norfolk single-season franchise record for assists with 53.

St. Pierre will join the Admirals as they prepare to face the Atlantic Division-leading Manchester Monarchs on Tuesday night at 7:05.
