Rochester Re-assigns Lehun to Florida (ECHL)

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that center Jonathan Lehun has been re-assigned to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL. The Amerks also returned center Chaz Johnson to the Rockford IceHogs (United Hockey League) this weekend, but re-signed him to a professional tryout contract this morning.

Lehun played in two games with the Amerks last week and made his Amerks' debut on February 23rd. The Toronto native signed with Rochester as a free agent in 2006. He returns to the Everblades, where he registered 18 goals and 16 assists in 33 games.

Johnson also played in two games with the Amerks after signing a PTO on February 23rd. He made his Amerks' debut that night against the Manitoba Moose. He now has 11 games of AHL experience in which he has registered one goal and collected 12 minutes in penalties. Johnson arrived in Rochester from Rockford.

He retuned to Rockford on Sunday and had one goal and one assist in the IceHogs' 4-1 win over the Elmira Jackals. He now has 14 goals and 12 assists in 45 UHL games. Johnson returned to the Amerks today and skated with the team at the ESL Sports Centre.

The Amerks return home on Wednesday, February 28th to take on the Grand Rapids Griffins at The Blue Cross Arena. Fans can take advantage of the clevermethod Business Person's Special by turning in their business cards at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office. In return they will receive a regular $19.00 ticket for $10.00. The 7:05 p.m. contest will be broadcast live on Hot Talk 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and B2 Networks.
