Connecticut Whale News Release
The floodgates opened for the Wolf Pack offense this past weekend, as the Pack outscored their opposition by a combined margin of 16-3 in three victories and upped their current winning streak to a season-high six games. The onslaught started Friday at Lowell, as a four-goal third period carried the Wolf Pack to a 6-1 win over the Devils. In a rough-and-tumble affair Saturday at home against league-leading Norfolk, the Pack downed the Admirals by a score of 5-1, with the teams combining for 206 penalty minutes. Then yesterday in Bridgeport the Wolf Pack rang up another 5-1 triumph, clinching the GEICO Connecticut Cup title. Several players led the scoring parade for the Pack in this past week's three contests, including Jarkko Immonen (3-3-6), Lauri Korpikoski (1-5-6), Nigel Dawes (3-3-6) and Ryan Callahan (2-4-6), who all chipped in six points apiece, and Al Montoya allowed a total of only three goals on 56 shots in the Pack net.
