SEUSSAPALOOZA NIGHT THIS FRIDAY
This Friday, March 2 is the 103rd anniversary of the birth of Dr. Seuss, and the Phantoms are celebrating with Seussapalooza when the Binghamton Senators come to town at 7:05 PM! The first 4,000 kids 14 and under through the doors will receive a Dr. Seuss-style Phantoms hat, and there will be Dr. Seuss-themed games and attractions on the concourse throughout the night.
A PUZZLING AFFAIR ON SATURDAY
Saturday's contest with the Hartford Wolf Pack features another great giveaway - the 2007 edition of the Phantoms Puzzle Bank! This challenging puzzle comes in a tin that doubles as a savings bank when it's not holding the puzzle. The puzzle banks are once again courtesy of Wachovia and will go to the first 5,000 fans through the doors.
PHANTOMS READING THIS WEEK
Members of the Phantoms will be out in full force reading to kids throughout the greater Philadelphia region this week in the days leading up to Dr. Seuss's birthday. A total of 13 players will read hockey-themed books to grade-school kids and tell them about what it's like to be a professional hockey player.
THANKS FROM THE PHANTOMS
The Phantoms would like to thank all fans who participated in the team's three charitable activities last week - Friday's Teddy Bear Toss and postgame jersey auction, along with Sunday's Flyers Wives Fight For Lives Carnival. Thousands of bears were collected on Friday to be donated to area charities, and a portion of the more than $24,000 raised from the jersey auction is headed to Phantoms Charities. On Sunday, the 30th Anniversary of the Flyers Wives Carnival was a resounding success despite some winter weather. Our thanks to all who help make Flyers and Phantoms fans the best in hockey!
PHANTOMS NOTABLES
When the Phantoms start their March schedule on Friday, they'll be embarking on their busiest month of the season. Sixteen games are jammed into the 31 days of the month. The team plays four games in five nights on two occasions... Friday's 3-0 shutout loss to Hershey was just the second time this season the Phantoms have been held without a goal, with the other coming in a 4-0 loss to Norfolk on Oct. 21. This comes after the team was blanked a franchise-record nine times in 2005-06. It was the eighth time Hershey has shut out the Phantoms, more than any other opponent.
SATURDAY'S GAME ON COMCAST SPORTSNET
The game on Saturday between the Phantoms and Hartford will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet. It's the final telecast in a four-game TV slate for the Phantoms this season. Tune in to Comcast SportsNet for all the action starting at 7:00.
PHANTOMS HOCKEY ON THE INTERNET
Through a partnership with 610 WIP, selected Phantoms games are being carried on the Internet via the audio stream at www.610WIP.com. This week's broadcast is on Friday when the Phantoms host Binghamton, with Mike Thornton providing the play-by-play.
