LAST WEEK'S GAME RECAPS

--WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2007 VS Norfolk Admirals L - 2-1--

Despite playing a very solid game, the Falcons came up short against the AHL point leading Norfolk Admirals. After beating the Falcons by three or more goals in each of their three previous meetings, things looked grim for the Birds as David Bolland scored four minutes into the game. David Spina gave the Falcons a big boost when he scored a shorthanded goal in the closing seconds of the first period tying the score at 1-1. Danny Richmond scored the eventual game-winner early in the second period for Norfolk. The rest of the game was all about stellar goaltending. Both Karri Ramo and Corey Crawford came up big for their respective teams.

--SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2007 VS Providence Bruins L - 6-2--

Justin Keller got the Birds on the board first, but after that it was all Bruins. T.J. Trevelyan and Mark Rosa, who had been called up earlier that day, each found the back of the net twice over the three periods. Rosa's second goal led to Karri Ramo being pulled in favor of Jonathan Boutin. The night wasn't any easier for Boutin who was greeted with goals from Martins Karsums and defenseman Sean Curry.

--SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2007 AT Providence Bruins L - 4-0 --

The Bruins swept the weekend series with a 4-0 shutout on Sunday.
