TEAM NOTEBOOK
- The Blackhawks have returned center Martin St. Pierre to the Admirals. In six games with the Blackhawks since being recalled on February 12, St. Pierre scored one goal and added two assists for three points and four penalty minutes. He scored his first NHL goal on February 14 at Pittsburgh.
- Norfolk is in the midst of a stretch of seven games against Atlantic Division teams. The Admirals have a 15-5-1-1 record against Atlantic Division foes this season, including a 5-3-0-1 record on the road.
- After facing Portland on Sunday, the Admirals will conclude their 2006-07 regular season schedule with 16 contests against East Division opposition - including four matches against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and one against the Hershey Bears.
- The East Division-leading Norfolk Admirals and Atlantic Division-leading Manchester Monarchs square off in Manchester on Tuesday night. The game could pit the league's two winningest goaltenders against one another in Manchester's Jason LaBarbera (31 wins) and Norfolk's Corey Crawford (30 wins). All three prior games between the teams this season have gone to overtime, with Norfolk prevailing twice and Manchester once. This will be the final regular season meeting between the Monarchs and Admirals.
- The Admirals find far more success when scoring first on the road than when they allow the game's first tally. When scoring first on the road this season, Norfolk is 9-3-2-0. When allowing the first goal on the road, they are 3-10-0-1.
- In the six games played so far on the Admirals' road trip, opponents have out-scored Norfolk 8-1 in the first period.
- David Bolland has points in seven of his last nine games (4g, 6a) and 13 of his last 16 games (7g, 11a).
- Kris Versteeg has points in five of his last seven games (1g, 6a).
- Carl Corazzini has points in three straight games (2g, 1a) and has goals in back-to-back contests.
