Idaho Steelheads News Release
BOISE, ID - The Idaho Steelheads announced today that center J.B. Bittner has been reassigned from their AHL affiliate, the Iowa Stars, and will be in the lineup tonight as the Steelheads open a three-game series against the Victoria Salmon Kings.
The 24-year-old Bittner has 35 points in 35 ECHL games this season, including five points in five games (all on the road) with the Steelheads. After beginning the season in Augusta of the ECHL and Portland of the AHL, Bittner was acquired by Iowa in an AHL trade on January 2. The Pittsburgh, PA native went scoreless in two games with the Steelheads last weekend at Victoria, before being recalled to Iowa on Monday and playing in their 4-1 loss versus San Antonio last night.
