
Wranglers take first with 5-3 win over Storm

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Toledo Storm 5-3 on Tuesday night in front of 3,507 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers forward Steve Crampton's 13th goal of the season at 14:25 of the third period proved to be the game winner. Wranglers forward Marco Peluso scored twice for Las Vegas, as the team took sole possession of first place in the Pacific Division. Las Vegas defensemen Jason Krischuk and Aaron Power each added two assists. Storm winger Matt Zultek added a goal and an assist for Toledo in the loss. The Wranglers head to Fresno to face the Falcons this Friday night at the Save Mart center at 7:30pm (PST).
In the first period, Nick Parillo scored his eighth goal of the season to give the Storm an early 1-0 lead. Derek Edwardson answered back for Las Vegas at 14:55 to tie the game 1-1.
In the second period, Wrangler forward Chris Neiszner tallied his 14th goal of the season to give the Wranglers a 2-1 lead. Toledo's P.J. Martin tallied right back for the Storm to tie the game 2-2.
In the third period, Wranglers winger Marco Peluso scored his first goal of the night at 6:21 to give the Wranglers a one goal lead again at 3-2. Steve Crampton added his 13th goal of the season to push the Wranglers lead to 4-2. Marco Peluso scored his second goal of the night at 17:40 to give the Wranglers a 5-2 lead. Toledo's Matt Zultek finished the scoring at 19:31 for the final score of 5-3.
The Wranglers will return home to host the Alaska Aces at 7:05 pm on Tuesday, February 13th at the Orleans Arena.
