
Cyclones' Ftorek Named In Glas Co Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Cincinnati Cyclones right wing Sam
Ftorek is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for Jan.
29-Feb. 4, 2007
The 6-foot-2 and 190-pound Ftorek had five goals, including two game
winners, and two assists as the Cyclones went 3-0-1 to increase their lead
in the North Division to three points over second-place Trenton.
The native of Wolfeboro, N.H. scored the game-winning goal and had two
goals on back-to-back nights on Feb. 2 in a 4-1 win against Trenton and on
Feb. 3 in a 4-1 win against Wheeling. He scored a season-high three points
(1g-2a) in a 6-5 overtime loss to Trenton on Feb. 4 for his third
multiple-point game in a row and his ninth multiple-point game of the
season.
Ftorek is second on the Cyclones with 20 assists and a plus-minus rating
of +9 while his 14 goals and 34 points are both fourth on the team.
He is in his eighth season in the ECHL and has 270 points (112g-158a) and
595 penalty minutes in 416 regular season games and 18 points (9g-9a) and
92 penalty minutes in 34 postseason games with Augusta, Cincinnati, Fresno,
Greensboro, Gwinnett, and Mobile. He played in the American Hockey League
for Manchester in 2003-04 and had 15 points (6g-9a) and 63 penalty minutes
in 52 regular season games while also playing in five playoff games for the
Monarchs.

Ftorek, a case of pucks will be donated to a Cincinnati area youth
hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for
the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, In Glas
Co has donated more than 15,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL
cities.
