Today's Game
Tonight, the Bisons face the Syracuse Chiefs in the second game of a three-game series from NBT Bank Stadium (7:05 p.m.). The Chiefs struck first in the series with last night's 8-2 victory over the Herd. Buffalo is now 30-29 on the road this season and 62-59 overall.
Playoff Picture
The Bisons are trying to chase down a pair of hot teams for a post season berth. The Herd now trails Scranton/Wilkes-Barre by seven games in the IL North division thanks to the RailRiders' six-game win streak. Columbus has won four straight, pushing the Bisons back 5.5 games in the race for the lone Wild Card spot.
vs. the Chiefs
The Bisons are 9-5 against the Chiefs this season, but an even 4-4 in games played at NBT Bank Stadium. After tomorrow's series finale, Syracuse will come to Buffalo two more times this year, August 21-23 and again September 1-2.
Chad Jenkins
RHP CHAD JENKINS makes his eighth start and 37th outing for the Bisons today. Only Gregory Infante (45 games) has appeared more for the Herd this season. Jenkins threw three shutout in a spot start last Tuesday in Buffalo and is 1-1 with a 2.12 ERA in his 7 starts this year.

INF MATT HAGUE keeps adding to his 2015 resume as the All-Star had four hits last night, including his 10th home run of the season. Hague now has 51 multi-hit games this season. His 159 hits are 31 more hits than any other hitter in the IL and seven more than any player in affiliated baseball. Hague continues to also lead the IL in average (.349), RBI (82) and on-base pct. (.429).
Dalton Pompey
Since returning to the Bisons on July 17, OF DALTON POMPEY has more runs scored (26) than any player in the league. He also tops all IL hitters in that 28-game span with a .443 on-base pct.

INF MATT HAGUE picked up the Herd's 11th four-hit performance last night. Only him and INF ANDY BURNS have two of them...LHP RANDY WOLF leads the IL with his 2.44 ERA
Blue Jays Update
The Blue Jays (64-53) lost for the first in 12 games Friday night, dropping a 4-3 decision to the Yankees. Carlos Beltran hit a pinch-hit three-run home run in the eighth for the Yanks' win. New York is now a half-game up on Toronto in the AL East with the two teams already underway this afternoon.
