Today's Game

After completing the homestand, the Bisons travel to Charlotte for a three-game series August 13-15 before visiting Gwinnett 8/16- 8/19 for a four-game series to conclude a seven-game road trip.
Last Game: BUF 5, TOL 4

INF Jason Leblebijian had a double and triple in four plate appearances in the victory. LHP Tim Mayza picked up his fifth win of the season as he began the bullpen's 4.1 shutout innings to silence the Mud Hen's bats.
Toledo (2-2)
The Bisons and Mud Hens last played each other June 5-7 at Fifth Third Field in Toledo, OH. The Bisons managed to deny the sweep with a 9-5 victory which included a five-RBI day from C Danny Jansen. Jansen has six hits in sixteen at-bats (.375 AVG) with seven RBIs in four games against the Mud Hens.
Today's Starter: Brandon Cumpton
RHP Brandon Cumpton will make his fifth start of the season for the Bisons and second start after being optioned back down from Toronto. The righty gave up two runs on four hits in 5.2 innings of no-decision ball in the team's 6-5 come from behind victory August 5th against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
3B Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was 1-4 with a home run in the win on Friday. Guerrero Jr. has now hit three long balls in three consecutive games after last night's laser into the Left Field screen in the bottom of the first inning. The young phenom's bat isn't the only thing that has been on display as he has made outstanding plays while on defense.
Bisons Bullpen
LHP Tim Mayza's 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the victory began a combined 4.1 shutout ball for the Herd's bullpen on Friday. Mayza, along with fellow southpaw LHP Jose Fernandez and RHP Justin Shafer yielded just two hits while striking out three to maintain Buffalo's lead and secure the victory. Shafer's 13 saves is the most by any Bison's reliever since RHP Ryan Tepera had 18 saves back in 2016.

On Friday, INF Darnell Sweeney was placed on the Temporary Inactive List, retro to 8/9.
Jason Leblebijian
INF Jason Leblebijian had two extra-base hits on Friday. The 2018 All-Star had an RBI triple in the fourth and an RBI double in the sixth to secure the Herd's win. Since returning from the Disabled List on August 8th, Leblebijian is 3-8 (.375AVG) with three runs batted in.
