Montgomery Biscuits News Release

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Ryan Brett and Willie Argo went deep off of J.R. Graham (0-3) while Dylan Floro (5-5) pitch into the seventh inning for the fifth straight time as the Biscuits (30-28) won their fourth-straight in a 5-1 victory over the Mississippi Braves (32-25) Monday night at Riverwalk.

Graham entered Monday night's game with a career-ERA over 14.00 against the Biscuits, and Montgomery continued their success on one of the Braves' top prospects. After Alejandro Segovia singled and Joey Rickard was hit by a pitch, Brett hooked a drive down the left field line to give the Biscuits a 3-0 lead. One inning later, Argo launched a homer after a Jeff Malm single to give the Biscuits a 5-0 lead.

Floro used the cushion to cruise his way against the Braves. Despite allowing three hits early on, Floro faced the minimum through four innings. The Braves could not mount any threats against the righty until the eight inning when three straight hits scored the only run of the game. Floro finished the game with six strike outs, no walks and only one run allowed.

Matt Ramsey (1) entered the game with two outs and runners on the corners in the eighth. The hard throwing righty struck out Gustavo Nunez to end the threat. Ramsey finished the game to pick up his first save of the year.

The Biscuits will look to make it five-straight wins on Tuesday night at 7:05. RH Roberto Gomez will take the ball for the Biscuits and pitch against RH Mitch Atkins.
