BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Squadron, NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, announced today that the team has waived guard Tra Holder.
Holder (6-2, 180) played in 18 games with the Squadron this season between the Showcase and the regular season, averaging 4.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 37.8% from the field and 25.6% from behind the arc.
Holder joined the Squadron after playing internationally for the last three seasons in Germany (2020-21, 2018-19) and Poland (2019-20). The Los Angeles, California native played his college ball at Arizona State, where he started in a school record 120 games and finished his collegiate career with 1,787 total points, fifth on the school's all-time list.
Birmingham's roster now stands at 12. The Squadron hit the hardwood again tonight at home against the Santa Cruz Warriors at 7:00 p.m. CT.
