Santa Cruz Warriors Announce Black History Month Activations, Presented by Chase

SANTA CRUZ - The Santa Cruz Warriors, the NBA G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, have announced the team's NBA Social Responsibility activations for Black History Month, presented by Chase. Throughout the month of February and beyond, the Warriors will honor and celebrate past and present African Americans through numerous activations.

Below is the schedule for the Santa Cruz Warriors' Black History Month events:

Black History Month Celebration Game, presented by Chase - The Santa Cruz Warriors will host their Black History Month Celebration during their February 6 matchup against the South Bay Lakers. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Golden State Warriors Beyond28 t-shirt, courtesy of Chase.

Movie Showing of "Selma," presented by Chase - The Santa Cruz Warriors will host a free movie showing of "Selma" at the Capitola Cinelux on Monday, February 7. Prior to the showing, guests will participate in a Q&A with Santa Cruz Warriors guard Jacob Evans III and others.

Anti-Racism Webinar, presented by Chase - The Santa Cruz Warriors will host a virtual one-hour webinar titled "Protests & Town Halls, Now What?" on February 8. Panelists include Warriors assistant coach Mike Brown, Los Angeles Sparks forward and ESPN commentator Chiney Ogwumike, and JPMorgan Chase Vice President and Senior Business Consultant Lisa Stevens.

Helping Hands, presented by Chase - Santa Cruz Warriors front office staff will visit Gault Elementary School to read children's books based on historical figures and events in American history on February 9. The staff will also work on a landscape beautification project at the school.
