
Mason Jones Named NBA G League Player of the Month

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - The NBA G League announced today that South Bay Lakers two-way guard Mason Jones has been named NBA G League Player of the Month for games played in January.
In eight games (all starts) in January, Jones led the G League in scoring with 28.0 points per game on 52.1 percent field-goal shooting while also averaging 8.9 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 39.1 minutes per game. The DeSoto, Texas native was signed by the Los Angeles Lakers to a two-way contract on December 21, 2021, after originally being acquired by South Bay on November 6, 2021.
Jones is the first South Bay player to be named G League Player of the Month since Scott Machado in March of 2019.
