
Birmingham Drops Rematch with South Bay, 128-98

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - The Birmingham Squadron fell to the South Bay Lakers for the second time in three nights on Saturday, this time by a score of xx at UCLA Health Training Center.
Just one game after scoring four points, Birmingham (1-5) forward Feron Hunt tallied 16 points on the night on 6-of-12 shooting, while Kelan Martin led the Squadron in scoring for the second straight contest with 22 points. James Kelly, Sr. was a bucket shy of a double-double with eight points and 11 rebounds off the bench.
South Bay (2-2) was represented by three 20-point scorers, Devin Cannady (25), Javante McCoy (23) and L.J. Figueroa (20) on the night. Figueroa, as well as reserve Nate Pierre-Louis, both recorded double-doubles.
Birmingham's next game comes against the Ontario Clippers (2-3) on Monday, with tipoff scheduled for 9 p.m. CT at Toyota Arena. The game can be seen on My68 WABM in Birmingham or nationally on NBAGLeague.com.
