Mississippi Braves News Release

Montgomery, AL - An offensive burst from the Montgomery Biscuits' bats sent the Mississippi Braves down 15-2 on Monday night at Riverwalk Stadium.

A nine-run fifth inning did most of the damage for the Biscuits (25-33), who picked up their first win of the five-game series.

Braves lefty Brett Oberholtzer (3-6) allowed six runs on eight hits in four innings of work in taking the loss.

Chris Archer (2-3) for Montgomery showed flashes of brilliance, allowing just four hits and two runs in six innings. He struck out four and walked two.

Reliever Marquis Fleming earned a long save, striking out six in three innings of work. He allowed just one hit in picking up his first save of the year.

The Braves gathered RBIs from Tyler Pastornicky on an RBI double in the third, and Donell Linares on a sacrifice fly in the sixth.

The Braves and Biscuits meet for game four of five on Tuesday at 7:05 PM CDT. Mississippi will send right-hander JJ Hoover to the mound (2-4, 2.52). Montgomery has yet to announce a starter.
