
Big 12 Baseball Championship Returns to Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark 2016-2020

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Big 12 Conference announced today that Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma City All Sports Association and Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark will host the 2017-2020 Phillips Big 12 Baseball Championship.
Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, home of the Oklahoma City Dodgers, was already slated to host the 2016 Phillips Big 12 Baseball Championship and will now host the next five baseball championships with the extension.
"The OKC Dodgers are proud to partner with the Oklahoma City All Sports Association and the Big 12 Conference on hosting this premier event," said OKC Dodgers President/General Manager Michael Byrnes. "The Bricktown community and Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark are the perfect location for this event and the fans that support it."
Oklahoma City has hosted the Big 12 Baseball Championship 16 of the last 19 years, including 10 of the last 11 years.

OKC Awarded Big 12 Baseball and Women's Basketball Championships
OKLAHOMA CITY - Today, the Big 12 Conference announced futures sites for its Big 12 Championships. Oklahoma City and Oklahoma City All Sports was awarded the 2017-2020 Big 12 Baseball Championship and the 2017-2019 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship.
Both the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball and Women's Basketball Championships were already scheduled to return to Oklahoma City in 2016, but with the extension, Oklahoma City will host the next five baseball championships and the next four women's basketball championships.
"We are ecstatic to bring back both Big 12 Baseball and Women's Basketball Championships back to Oklahoma City," said All Sports Executive Director Tim Brassfield. "We have a long and storied history with the Big 12 Baseball Championship and Oklahoma City has shown their strong support of Big 12 Women's Basketball when it has hosted previously, including having the highest attended women's championship of all time."
The Big 12 Baseball Championship will return and be played at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark while the Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship will continue to be played at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Oklahoma City has hosted the Big 12 Baseball Championship 16 of the last 19 years, including 10 of the last 11 years. Tulsa served as host in 2015.
The Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship has been hosted in Oklahoma City 3 times in the last 9 years (2007, 2009 and 2014).
