
Bethlehem Steel FC to Take on Charlotte Independence

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Bethlehem Steel FC will take on Charlotte Independence tonight at 7 p.m. The game will be available via live stream on www.bethlehemsteelfc.com.
Steel FC enter the match after a 1-0 defeat to NYRB II on Sunday, June 5 and will look to snap a three-game winless streak, with their last win coming on May 15 in a 2-1 victory against FC Montreal. The game will be the first of five consecutive road games for Steel FC, who will return to Goodman Stadium on Sunday, July 10 to face Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
Taylor Washington and Cole Missimo from the First Team will accompany the Steel FC squad for the road trip to North Carolina. Mark McKenzie, Auston Trusty, Raheem Taylor Parkes, Justin McMaster and Andrew Verdi will join the squad from the Philadelphia Union Academy.
Charlotte, currently ranked sixth in the league, enter the match with a 5-3-3 record and winless in four having lost one and tied three of their last four matches. Most recently, Charlotte Independence tied 2-2 with Toronto FC II on Saturday, June 4.
Upon returning the Bethlehem, Steel FC will also take on Reading United AC in a friendly Sunday, June 12 as part of a annual tradition with the Philadelphia Union organization. The game will take place at 7 p.m. at Exeter High School's Don Thomas Stadium.
