OCB Looks to Bounce Back against Charleston Battery
June 10, 2016 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Orlando City B News Release
MELBOURNE, Fla. - Following Sunday's match against United Soccer League leader Louisville City, Orlando City B (4-6-2, 14 points) goes on the road for the first time since April 25 to face the Charleston Battery (6-3-3, 21 points) on Saturday, June 11. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. E.T. The match will be streamed live at www.OrlandoCitySC.com/LIVE.
"It's going to be a tough game for us. Any time you go to Charleston, you know what you're in for. They're big, they're strong, they're physical, we know exactly what we're going to get," OCB Head Coach Anthony Pulis said. "We're looking forward to it. It's an opportunity for us to bounce back after the result last week, hopefully we can turn it around and get a positive result."
In its last match, OCB grabbed a second-half lead before first-place Louisville scored three goals in seven minutes to steal a 4-3 victory. Hadji Barry registered his third goal and assisted on Harrison Heath's first professional goal before Michael Cox scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season in stoppage time.
Cox regained his team lead with his first goal since May 1. Barry is tied with Tyler Turner with three goals.
Charleston enters the match after a 2-1 win at the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday. Obrian Woodbine scored in the 37th minute before Taylor Mueller scored the eventual game winner five minutes later.
Romario Williams leads the Battery with six goals in 11 matches, while Justin Portillo leads the team with three assists.
These teams met for the first time this season in a 0-0 draw in Melbourne on April 1, when Lions goalkeeper Mark Ridgers made six saves for his first clean sheet of the season.
The Lions return to Titan Soccer Complex on Sunday, June 19, to host New York Red Bulls II. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. E.T.
