Benson Named All-Star Replacement

SIOUX FALLS, SD "" The NBA Development League announced today that Keith Benson has been named as a replacement on the Eastern Conference team for the 2016 NBA D-League All-Star Game.

Benson has appeared in 27 games (13 starts) for Sioux Falls and is averaging 13.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.48 blocks and 23.5 minutes while shooting 56.6 percent from the field. He leads the Skyforce in blocks per game (1.48) and ranks second in total points (362), field goal percentage (56.6) and total rebounds (187). He has registered four double-doubles, scored in double figures on 20 occasions and recorded at least one block in 23 of his 27 games played this season.

Benson is the fourth Skyforce player to be selected as an All-Star, along with teammates Tre Kelley, DeAndre Liggins and Miami HEAT assignee Jarnell Stokes. Skyforce head coach Dan Craig and his staff will be coaching the Eastern Conference All-Star squad on Saturday, Feb. 13. The D-League All-Star Game will air live on NBA TV and NBA TV Canada at 2:00 p.m. ET from Toronto's Ricoh Coliseum.
