
Sioux Falls' Keith Benson and Canton's Quinn Cook Named as All-Star Replacements

NEW YORK - Sioux Falls forward Keith Benson and Canton Charge guard Quinn Cook will replace Maine's Jordan Mickey and Sioux Falls' DeAndre Liggins on the Eastern Conference team in the 2016 NBA Development League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire on Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto. The game, which tips off at 2 p.m. ET, will air live on NBA TV and NBA TV Canada.
Benson (6-11, 238, Oakland University), who was selected in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks, is averaging 13.4 points (on 56 percent shooting from the field) and 6.9 rebounds and 23.5 minutes in 27 games for the Skyforce. He replaces Mickey, who is sidelined with a sprained left ankle sustained on Jan. 16.
In 28 games this season, Cook (6-2, 179, Duke) is leading the Charge in scoring (19.6 ppg) and is averaging 4.7 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 34.9 minutes. He replaces DeAndre Liggins, who is unable to play due to a right plantar fascia injury suffered on Jan. 9.
Benson and Cook join 10 top NBA prospects on the Eastern Conference squad, which is coached by Sioux Falls head coach Dan Craig and his staff. In all, 24 NBA D-League players, 15 of whom have NBA experience, will play in the 10th annual NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire.
