
D-Fenders Dominate Blue

EL SEGUNDO - The D-Fenders beat the Oklahoma City Blue 114-92 tonight in El Segundo, CA. Andre Ingram hit his 539th career three-pointer late in the second quarter, setting the all-time NBADL record for three-pointers made.
Vander Blue (25 points) paced the D-Fenders (16-14) with his 11th consecutive 20-point game. Josh Magette tallied 21 points, 12 assists and six rebounds, while Justin Harper (19 points, 11 assists), Robert Upshaw (13 points, 7 rebounds), Ryan Gomes (12 points, 9 rebounds) and Andre Ingram (10 points) all scored in double-figures for Los Angeles.
Dane Miller (21 points, 9 rebounds) led the Blue (10-22). Aaron Harrison scored 12 points while on flex assignment from the Charlotte Hornets, while Kameron Woods (11 points, 10 rebounds) and Tomislav Zubcic (11 points) also reached double-digits for Oklahoma City.
The first quarter was all Los Angeles, with the D-Fenders leading 35-16 after the frame. Magette had 13 points in the quarter, while Vander Blue had 10 for Los Angeles. The Blue fought back in the second quarter, outscoring the D-Fenders 28-18 behind eight points from Miller. Ingram hit his record-setting 539th career three-pointer at the 2:30 mark in the second period. The D-Fenders led 53-44 at the halftime break.
Los Angeles scored a season-high 42 points in the third quarter, outscoring Oklahoma City 42-20 in the frame behind 13 points from Harper and 11 from Vander Blue. After three, the D-Fenders led 95-64. Los Angeles slowed the pace in the fourth quarter, as the Blue outscored Los Angeles 28-19, but the D-Fenders held on to win 114-92.
The D-Fenders shot .416 from the field, compared to .397 for Oklahoma City. The D-Fenders connected on 29-of-33 free throw attempts, while the Blue connected on 25-of-32. Los Angeles forced 25 turnovers, finishing with 10 steals on the night.
Los Angeles hosts the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at 6:30pm PT on Saturday in El Segundo.
