
Begin, Dekanich Reassigned to Milwaukee

Milwaukee, WI--Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced tonight that the club has reassigned forward Steve Begin and goaltender Mark Dekanich to Milwaukee (AHL).
Dekanich made his NHL debut Saturday night against the Kings, stopping 22-of-25 shots in 49:59 of action. He spent seven games backing up goaltender Anders Lindback from Dec. 4-17. The North Vancouver, B.C., native posted three shutouts in his last eight starts for the Admirals, and set a franchise record with a 209:31 shutout streak from Nov. 7-18. Nashville's third choice (146th overall) in the 2006 Entry Draft is second in the league in shutouts (3) and is third in save percentage (.941) and goals-against average (tie, 1.71).
Begin made his Predators debut Friday night in a 3-1 victory at New Jersey, and suited up again Saturday night against the Los Angeles Kings. Begin has posted four points (3g-1a) in 21 games for the Admirals this season. The Trois-Rivieres, Que., native has played 486 career NHL games since 1997-98, posting 100 points (52g-48a) and 535 penalty minutes.
The Ads are back in action Tuesday, December 21 at 7:00 pm versus the Chicago Wolves at Allstate Arena.
