Falcons Fall to Bruins 3-1

The Springfield Falcons lost to the Providence Bruins 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI. The Falcons will now begin their holiday break and be off from game action until December 26 when they host the Bruins at the MassMutual Center.

The Falcons opened the scoring at 7:29 of the first period when Chris D'Alvise scored his third goal of the year. Providence evened the score in the second period when Maxime Sauve tallied his fifth marker of the campaign at 4:46.

In the third period, Providence took their first lead of the game just 1:14 into the final period when Sauve netted his second goal of the game putting Providence on top 2-1. Kirk MacDonald added some insurance at 17:38 of the third period giving the Bruins a 3-1 advantage late in regulation.
